Integrate an "Audio Play" button within the Slido Q&A interface to read aloud questions and response options. This feature is intended to support users with visual impairments, ensuring an inclusive and accessible experience for all participants.

User Story:

  • As a participant with visual impairments or reading difficulties,
  • I want to click a "Play" button next to a question or poll option,
  • So that I can listen to the content aloud and participate in the session independently.

  • Proposed Functionality:

  • Play/Pause Control: A clearly visible icon (e.g., speaker or play button) located next to each question and response option.
  • Audio Output: High-quality text-to-speech synthesis that reads the text clearly.
  • Accessibility Standards: Ensure the feature is compatible with screen readers and follows general web accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
  • Business Value:

  • Inclusivity: Enables Slido to be used in diverse environments and by a broader range of users.
  • Compliance: Helps align the platform with global digital accessibility standards.
  • User Satisfaction: Increases engagement for participants who prefer or require auditory information.
