As a workaround, you can activate a poll before your meeting so participants can join while waiting for the host. If you need a special message like "We will start in a moment." instead of there are no active polls right now, you can create a graphic and upload the image to your poll and show the image side by side. I hope this helps in the meantime and I can see how this can benefit or guide the participant experience.
