Make a room mandatory.

I’ve created a Slido with 4 rooms. One room is for our general session, the other 3 rooms were break out rooms. It would be great to have a feature where I could make a room mandatory to enter.

    Thanks for your submission! Would you mind explaining your use case a bit more? When you have multiple rooms activated, every participant who joins will have to select a room. 

     

    Are you maybe thinking of a scenario where you’d force all participants to join a general session room to start...but then later on open up the other rooms for them to join? This is possible by deactivating all rooms except your general session room at the start. Then you can activate the rooms whenever you’d like and allow participants to change room in their participant menu.

    Is that sort of what you’re looking for? If not, please let us know more.

    Hi Joel,

     

    Thanks for the quick reply! That’s the right idea, but the sessions have already passed and we’re using this as a follow up survey. The idea was to make one room mandatory for all participants, and then allowing them to select the break out room that they attended as well.

    This is being sent out today and we just added in the title of the main room “(Mandatory)” so there’s no urgency to this anymore. But potentially worth wild in the future.
