Presenting ppt in a teams meeting

When I have a slido in my PPT and then present my PPT in a teams meeting, I cannot see the slido QR code or the code to log in. I can only see it if I run the presentation and share my screen. But that means, with presentation notes my 2nd screen is blocked and I can’t see my audience.

HEy @AlexisN ,

Could you check this section of our article for using MS teams and Powerpoint to be sure this is working?

You cannot import a PPT file with Slido integrated into it. You would need to share your screen with Powerpoint in Present mode and be sure you are logged into the sidebar for Slido in the PPT presentation and also add the Slido to the MS teams meeting as well.

Let us know if this helps or if you have any other questions.

Best,

This doesn’t help - I want participants to be able to see the results live in my powerpoint presentation (not small in the sidebar) while I can also see the chat…

can you offer a solution please @AlexisN

Hey @Cathleg ,

If you Integrate Slido into your Powerpoint presentation and then Share your screen, your participants will see the poll results on the screen and also in the participant view sidebar where they submit them.

Would this help answer your question?

Hi @Carly from Slido,

I’m having the same issue and hoping you can assist. You’re correct that Slido works when you share your screen in Teams. However, if you open a PPT with Slido embedded in it, and then click ‘Present in Teams’, it does not show the QR code as @Cathleg mentioned. I prefer to do it this way as it frees up a screen, and it also embeds video content/fonts etc. into the PPT so it displays and streams smoothly for the audience.

Is there a way for Slido to work when you ‘Present in Teams’? Currently I’m forced to make a decision between a poor viewing experience for the audience to be able to include Slido engagement or not use Slido. As a result, we aren’t able to utilise Slido for most of our presentations and not getting the value out of it that we are paying for.

Thank you and hope you can assist!

Hello @rosscaldwell

Mikaella here from Slido -  happy to help!

I’m so sorry that you’ve haven't the best experience with Microsoft Teams and Slido. When it comes to using Present in Teams or Powerpoint Live, I’m afraid the only workaround would be to share your powerpoint presentation to the audience during a Teams meeting.

I understand this feature would be valuable for you. Please share this on our Wishlist where our product team can see the demand and you can track updates on its status.

Let me know if you have anymore questions!

My best,
Mikaella from slido
