🚧 Help Center under construction: A New Slido Interface is on the way!

 We’ve redesigned how you create and manage Slido as a host, with a complete new look. The new interface is rolling out gradually and so you might notice a few changes. But don’t worry! With a focus on efficiency and ease of use, Slido is now more intuitive than ever.You can watch the announcement with more info here 👇 In this article:Why the change? How do I know if I’m using new Slido? Are there Help Center resources for both interfaces? Can I switch back to old Slido?  Why the change? We wanted to simplify the process of creating Slidos, with a focus on eliminating friction points for our users. This meant that changes in design were needed to make it easier for users to locate and use more features. Alongside the interface changes, all the technology on the backend has been upgraded too which should streamline any future improvements. Slido’s polling and Q&A are still front and center – they’re simply more efficient. New Slido interface FAQs

Slido’s new interface is now available for everyone 🚀 Although it may look a bit different, its design provides an easier, quicker, and more intuitive experience. See below for answers to the most common questions regarding the changes. Where do I create my polls? How do I save my polls? Where is my Q&A? What is the control bar for? How do I adjust my quiz timer? Can I still test my Slido as a participant? Has the participant experience changed? Does new Slido have all the same features? Can I switch back to the old Slido interface? Where can I find help?  Where do I create my polls?All polls and Q&A are now listed under My interactions on the left side. Create your polls by selecting the + Add option and choosing your poll type. Create your polls  How do I save my polls?Slido polls now save automatically after a few seconds. You can also save immediately by hitting return – or by clicking anywhere outside of the text box.  Polls save automatically Surveys are a bit different.

Introducing Required questions in Surveys 🎉

You can now make questions mandatory to answer when sharing Surveys with your audience!  Here’s how you can set it up in Slido admin 👉Go to your Polls and open up or create a Survey. On the right hand side, simply toggle on Required question for those questions that you’d like to make mandatory for your participants to answer. Activate the Survey and share your event or the link to the Survey with your audience.  And here’s what your audience will see 👉If someone tries to submit the survey while skipping required questions, Slido will automatically highlight the ones that are mandatory in red and won’t let them send their answers until all of them are filled in.   That’s it! You can pick and choose which questions you’d like to make mandatory to answer, or even make all of them required.  We see many clients using required questions for collecting feedback after strategic meetings, such as all-hands or quarterly reviews. This is to make sure that they collect the opinions of even tho

The month of April brings more exciting product updates from Slido HQ 🎉There has been a lot going on, so here's a summary of everything that's new in our world 🌎 🗳️ Improved voting experience in Microsoft Teams To provide your Microsoft Teams participants with the best experience, we've made voting easy! Voting options in Microsoft TeamsWhat’s changed:No more pop-ups for voting: The meeting chat is notified when a host activates or deactivates a poll.   Chat notifications: A notification will appear in the Teams chat window, prompting attendees to go directly to the poll. New pre-meeting and voting experience in Slido for Microsoft Teams

We’re excited to share recent updates to Slido for Microsoft Teams which helps make the experience better for both hosts and participants.  Enlarged layout for pre-meeting preparationPreparation for your meeting with Slido in the Teams calendar is now more intuitive and organized. You can add your interactions from the left sidebar, and create, edit and preview the Slido content in the main area.   Preparing Slido in Teams calendar Improved voting experienceWhen you launch or deactivate a poll, a chat notification is sent to the meeting chat. Your participants can vote on an active poll after clicking the Send your vote button, which opens the Slido sidebar. These chat notifications replace the previous experience using pop-ups. Previous experience with pop-ups for voting New experience using chat notifications with a button for voting As a host, you will no longer vote in the poll directly in Teams. Hello August! 👋Whilst we wonder where this year has gone 💨, here's our August product news with the latest improvements and releases! 📊Share your event analytics for longer You asked, we listened! The share link for event analytics is now valid for up to 60 days. This means any participants or colleagues you choose to share your data reports with have plenty of time to get up to speed with the insights after an event has passed.  Choose when your share link expires to AnalyticsTo share and set your expiry for the link, Select the green Share Analytics button from the right hand side of the Analytics tab in your event. A pop up like the above visual will appear on the left. Summer is here at Slido HQ and we’re keeping it fresh for you with Microsoft Teams improvements, an exciting new integration with our friends at Vidcast and changes to Slido admin.As ever, your feedback is super important to us, we’d be delighted to hear what you think!💪 💻Participant authorization in Microsoft Teams is now automatic Participants are now automatically verified on joining their Teams meeting. This means that they no longer need to: Log in with their SSO (If they use this) Or, Enter a passcode for a protected Slido This is available to all Teams users.
