Solved

Dear Slido Developers,I have created some quizzes with Slido and would like to share them with my students. Can I do that in a way so students can complete the quizzes on their own time and at their own pace? Many thanks in advance!

title says it all ;)

In the last few days, I have started getting an error message when I save my PPT files adding a new Slido question or editing an existing question within a presentation. These are presentations that I have been working on, so neither the PPT, nor the Slido portions are new. Everything works as normal until I go to save to save, then I get a message that says “The file is corrupt and cannot be opened.” This prevents me from saving the updated file. As long as I don’t make changes to the Slido, the PPTs work fine and the presentations are working okay.I tried to uninstall and reinstall Slido, but nothing changed. My IT support didn’t have any additional ideas, so I thought I would reach out to other users to see if anyone else has experienced this.Any help would be appreciated! Thanks,Tami

Hello everyone,When using slido in Powerpoint (under Win 10) I get an error message as shown in the picture when inserting slides. At the bottom it says in red letters: "Oops! Something went wrong."All I can do is click "Okay". If I then want to insert the slide again, the error message comes up again. The only thing that helps is that I close Powerpoint, reload the presentation and then recreate the slide. But that's pretty annoying! I can't always close the entire presentation and restart it to insert new slides. What could be the reason?Thank you for your help!Best regards, buze

Hello,I’m trying to use Slido for Powerpoint.I created a Survey and I’m wondering if there is a possibility for the survey questions to display on screen after I open the slide. The only thing I’m able to show now is the title of the survey.Do I have to show the slide with the survey questions and run Slido from outside Powerpoint (maybe from slido.com)?Regards,Pascal

I want to run a live quiz with a bunch of questions and identify the participant who was the first to select the correct answers. Is this possible?Kind regardsJHK

Hi all,I downloaded Slido for the first time. The I went to open it received the message “You have macOS 10.15.7. The application requires macOS 11.0 or later.” My MacBook is older and is not able to update to macOS 11.0. Is there a way around this? Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

We do weekly quizzes that usually include questions with multiple answers that are correct.  However, in the analytics, Slido counts the number of correct answers instead of the number of correct answered questions. So lets say Question 1 has answers: A (correct), B, C(correct) and D. The correct answer would be A & D, which should give you 1 point. However, Slido counts it as 2 points and ignores when incorrect answers have been given as well.

My presentations with Slido are suddenly having problems. They open but when launched, Powerpoint closes again. Up until yesterday, everything was working fine. Then today, nothing. I get a txt file called debug log in the folder where the presentation is located. When I open it, this message appears: [0911/163749.606:WARNING:main_runner.cc(261)] Alloy bootstrap is deprecated and will be removed in ~M127. See https://github.com/chromiumembedded/cef/issues/3685When the PPT presentation fails to launch, I am asked if I want to open PPT in safe mode. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and what might be an adequate solution?

I just installed the latest Slido for PowerPoint add-in update, and it keeps crashing PowerPoint. If I try to open a file with a Slido presentation added, the PowerPoint boot-up window comes up, then disappears and my file never opens. I can successfully open files without a Slido presentation, at which point the file I unsuccessfully tried to open will show up in the autosave alert column on the left. If I then try to open that autosaved file, it once more crashes PowerPoint. I can open all of my files fine if I disable the Slide add-in.I have tried restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling the Slido add-in, and disabling and re-enabling it. I’m on a PC running Windows 10 Education version.

Hi there, I’m looking for some help as a new Slido user. I have upgraded my plan & have been charged for the year. Yet each time I try to use the ”paid” features. I am being asked to pay again ….  What have I done wrong?

For example:On a scale of 1 (low) to 5 (high), how would your team rate:Your Integrity? Your Intent? Your Capabilities? Your Results?Again, I want to know if there is a way to conduct this poll in one versus 4 separate polls.

I’m holding an event in two languages and I would want it so the Q&A interface reflectss the person who scans the QR code’s system settings. For example, if an English speaking person scans the QR code or opens the link, then the interface is in English, but if a Spanish speaking person does it, the interface is in Spanish.I cannot find any settings related to this except changing the default language. Is this possible?Thank you

Hi,I am currently working on an event with participants who speak different languages. I made a Q&A and a quiz. The interface language can be chosen by the user, but I have not found any way to translate quiz questions/answers or the Q&A itself.I am looking for either an auto-translation tool that can translate the the submissions in the Q&A and the quiz entries. Is this possible?Thank you!

Hi all,How can I set/activate a quiz timer within Slido?Thanks for your support.Simone

Hi everyone,Is there an easy way to reset my poll responses or results? I’d like to test my slido out to make sure I understand what I’m doing, but I want to know that I can start fresh again. I’m worried that I’ll have my testing responses there and won’t be able to remove them.  Is this possible?

Hi, I’m using a one-time Engage plan. Is it possible to prepare and test my slido outside of the 7 day limit? Or does the 7 day limit start when I purchase?  Many thanks. Cheers,Marco

Hi, I want to ask multiple polls (with multi-choice) on one slide and not multiple slides. How can I do that?

Hi,To provide overview in a list of polls within one Slido, I'm considering to work with Assign session. The Session name is usefull, but i'm not sure what the implications are by using Session date and time and Duration time. For example, if it is set on 21-08 for 30 minutes starting on 11.00 h., can the poll still be presented on 21-08 11.45 h?  What do Session date and time, and Duration time do? And are there maybe more suitable ways to provide overview in a list of polls within one Slido? Thanks in advance!

Hi Community, could it be that the Teams integration is broken? When selecting "sharing" (freigeben in German), it opens a separate window, not integrated into the Teams meeting. What's more concerning is that the content displayed is my admin view, not the presentation view, which is quite frustrating during a live meeting. Just last week, it functioned perfectly.I already contacted Slido via contact form.Maybe someone else is facing this problem. It looks like this.Slido Teams App Version: 3.4.0

I tried downloading the integration for powerpoint and got the following error message:I called my IT team and they said that I should reach out to you all because this is a software issue. Can someone help me with this? Thanks so much,Wendy

I am in the Slido part of my PowerPoint presentation and its asking me to sign in or switch accounts. Im already signed in.  Either choice is not working.  I want to sign into my own account but it keeps rejecting me and its not going anywhere.

With basic - it says only 3 polls per event.  So does that mean after 3 Slido slides I can’t use it anymore unless I upgrade to the next level?  Silly question, but I’ll ask anyway - each presentation you run you can have up to 100 participants (if you’re on basic)?  So if I have two presentations in a day - each could have up to 100 participants is that true?

Hi, I’m wondering if Slido can break the questions into few sections. I’m planning the group the questions accordingly with the title for a clear and organized survey.

Is an anonymous question in Slido Q&A truly anonymous? In other words, if I ask a question anonymously, will administrators within my company or anyone else know who submitted the question?
