We have an event with (8) different breakout rooms. We have 8 different cities joining, one city for each breakout room. We do not want one city to be able to switch to another city’s breakout room, and we are hoping here is a way to lock that functionality. We see that, as a participant, you can select your room at the top of your window. Anyway to disable/lock that?
Is it possible to use Slido outside of a live event? I am interested in sharing documents with my audience then then having them respond with polls, questions and more, but over the space of several days on their own time, not just immediately in a meeting. Is this possible? Thanks so much for any guidance.
We run an international conference and we like to refer to the country or location from where the person that is asking the questions is from to promote inclusivity and show the reach of the conference. Does anyone have an idea of how we might get this information from the people answering our questions?
I was hoping to use Slido with Vimeo LiveStream. There will be approximately a 20sec delay between the live feed, and the broadcast feed. If I am watching the broadcast feed, I should be able to launch questions/polls in time with the feed. Has anyone done this sort of thing?
Hi I notice in our testing of the quiz and survey that we have set up that although we reset the survey after each test, our testing data still appears in the analytics. Is there a way to reset the analytics so that our test analytics data does not affect the real data we want to collect at the event. Jason
One type of question that is missing from Slido is to let students sort items into 2-3 different lists. For example, the categories could be Africa, Asia, and Europe and they have to sort different countries (Ethiopia, Cambodia, Hungary, etc) into the right list.
Good afternoon,I am using slido for webpages and I am using the embed code to insert it in the webpage. The problem is that at the end of the square the word slido is still appearing in the square. I would like to ask for help to remove it from the square. Can you please help me out? Many thanks!
Hi, I created a shareable link to share with a colleague to help with the event. However, the shareable link is taking the user to the login page. I assumed with the shareable link, the user does not have to login and can manage the event directly. Please advise.
How does word cloud select the responses it displays? I know it shows the most common responses as a bigger font but many of the responses only have 1 vote. It doesn't seem to post the most recent responses. Just asking since some responses, which had very different topics, weren't reflected on the main screen. Thanks!
Hi there, I’m looking for some clarification around reusing the same event multiple times. I’ve read the articles about reusing codes within powerpoint but am still a bit confused. In my case, I am looking to re-use the same Slido event for a workshop that will be run multiple times on different dates. Currently, when I reuse the same event / event code the audience sees responses from the previous session. Is my only option to clear the results or duplicate the event? My team likes to save the results so we can analyze the data, but we are also trying to avoid constantly duplicating events as it can get confusing for our facilitation team when they log into Slido to find & activate the event. I would love to be able to export analytics from one single event code and see the answers/ results from various sessions in one place. Any guidance/ best practices around doing this would be super helpful. Thank you!
How do I create a ranking poll which allows participants to ALSO add entries like in an open text poll?
How do I create a ranking poll which allows participants to ALSO add entries like in an "open text” poll? The problem with the vote-based ranking in the “open text” polls is that people can only vote (thumb up) an item once, and so their actual ranking will be obscured by a bunch of single votes for many options. And yet, the ability for audience to add items in the “open text” format is really lovely (a feature that’s absent in the ranking polls). Let me know how this can be achieved, and if it’s not a feature, it’d be great if it could be created!
The quiz is being run is sync with a live streamed version of the quiz (a live show that participants (online and in live audience) can win some token prizes). We need to be able to contact the winners, so we need to collect a contact email and/or phone. Can we make this a mandatory part of the “joining” process? We will be running the SLIDO through powerpoint.
